Chamberlain Lake


  • Located on Crumstown Highway, 3.5 miles west of the intersection of Mayflower Rd and Sample St.
  • Chamberlain Lake Nature Preserve is 82.7 acres

Unique features:

  • Managed cooperatively with Indiana Department of Natural Resources and St. Joseph County Parks
  • 1.5 miles of trails through woods, fields and along Chamberlain Lake's edge Provides habitat for several rare and endangered plants
  • State dedicated nature preserve

Recreational Opportunities:

  • Bird watching
  • Bird observation platform located on the west side of Chamberlain Lake.
  • Hiking

Note: This is a Carry in-Carry out site. There are no trash receptacles or picnic tables at the preserve.
