Walk the Hawthorn Trail and learn about Wilson "Snowflake" Bentley, who photographed the first snowflake in 1885! Expand your knowledge with snow fun facts and view pictures taken of real snow crystals. At the end, grab a flier to learn how to capture and preserve your own snow crystals at home!

Registration and payment are required by Wednesday, Jan. 27th. When registering, please state if you will be renting skis. The Manion Cabin will be closed for this event, but restrooms will be available at the White Barn.

A white expanse of snow blanketing the ground, the moon creeping up through the silhouettes of trees, and the stars twinkling overhead alll set the scene for a full moon snowshoe hike. Afterwards warm-up with hot cocoa by the firepit. Registration is required by January 26. (Min. 10; Max. 20 total, because of snowshoe sizes: 16 (shoe size 5-10, 4 large men (shoes 11/12 size).
