Orienteering
Orienteering is an activity for all ages and levels of fitness and skill, in which the object is to locate control points within the park using a detailed map. It can be enjoyed as a leisurely walk in the woods or as a competitive sport combining the suspense and excitement of a treasure hunt.

Running Wild
The Running Wild 5K Run is professionally chip-timed with disposable chips on park wooded and open field trails, park roads, grass and gravel.

Running Wild: 5k trail run & 3k fun walk A FUNd-raising run and walk to benefit St. Joseph County Parks! Help us raise funds for park projects, including scholarships to help schools cover the cost of transportation to the parks for programs. Dogs on leashes are welcome for the fun walk, which includes a wacky nature-themed scavenger hunt. There will be age division prizes for timed runs. There will be no day of registration. -

Bag a Bat and eat a Batnana Split Meet Wildlife Biologist Jeremy Sheets as he talks about the various species of bats found in Indiana and shows how bat information is collected for research. Registration and payment required by August 30. -
Thu Sep. 8
Archery Lessons Ages: 12 and up, accompanied by an adult. Join a local archery instructor for archery lessons. Get hands-on experience with all the equipment and enjoy a personalized shooting lesson. Registration required by September 6.
