The St. Joseph County Police Department strives to create and maintain a presence in our community. We have several programs in place to help to improve the quality of life for all of us.
Our Cybercrimes Unit, while responsible for significant criminal investigations, spends time presenting to community groups on cybersafety issues.
Our D.A.R.E. program has more demand than available officers; we try to teach several D.A.R.E. classes each term at a variety of local elementary schools. We assist neighborhood watch groups with information and safety presentations.
Finally, the St. Joseph County T.R.I.A.D. group represents a partnership between seniors and law enforcement. Known for their pill drops, T.R.I.A.D has much more to offer.
